Hyderabad · Designing since 2010

Open to select work

I've been designing since before I knew it was called that.

Apps, websites, graphics, print, identity. One continuous thread — pulled from a dare in 9th grade to a founding design role in healthcare.

How this happened

Nobody handed me
a job description.

The dare

I was editing my own Facebook photos in Picasa and sketching in the margins of notebooks. A kid at school told me there was no way I could use Photoshop. I opened it that night to prove him wrong. Fifteen years later I still haven't closed it.

₹10 a picture

My first paid work: before-and-after edits for a car detailing company. Ten rupees per photo, a hundred per video. I learned early that design gets paid when it changes what someone sees.

Then

Posters nobody asked for

Linkin Park posters, made for an audience of exactly one. Then friends started asking me to edit their photos. Then people I'd never met.

Open season

Posters, menus, event collateral, 2D sprites and game assets. Whatever needed making, I made — and somewhere in there it stopped being a favour and became the thing I was known for.

I bought the press

The merchandise company I started for student groups outgrew its suppliers, so I opened my own printing unit. T-shirts, mugs, caps, bottles — supplying Airtel, HackerEarth and Haanum. Design and marketing stopped being separate things.

YourStory

Joined as a graphic designer. Left having built over a hundred campaigns, microsites and event experiences — plus the stages, flexes and banners they happened in front of.

The list

I sat down and googled every kind of designer that exists — illustrator, game, service, motion, web, graphic, UX. I wrote my skills in one column and their requirements in the other, and drew lines between them. UX won by a distance. So that's what I became.

PMX Health

Founding designer. A prescription pad, complex medical reports, the in-clinic web app, the consumer app, the brand, the website — and a small team to look after while it all ships.

Turns out the answer
wasn't one item
on that list.

It was most of them. Here's what that actually makes me today.
